This leisurely hiking tour (9 km) from Garda to Bardolino and back to Garda takes about 3-4 hours. We are in no rush over here. You will discover unique natural beauty as well as local traditions and history. The spectacular view from "Rocca Vecchia" (294 m) is without a match. A castle once stood here that commanded the entire lake. You will pay a visit to the 16th-century monastery on "Rocca dei Frati" (305 m). The trail down to Bardolino leads through olive grows and vineyards. A stroll along Lake Garda's shoreline will get us back to Garda.

About the guide
Hi there. I'm Ulf Czerwinski, a tour guide and blogger. I grew up in a small town near Berlin, Germany, but I live now in Verona, Italy.
I left my hometown some 20 years ago. I set out with a business administration diploma but with no clear idea of what to do next. I travelled the world for about two years and lived in Dublin, Ireland, for another ten. Destiny hit there in the form of my future wife in 2003. Together, we moved to Italy in 2011.

I have since worked in different roles in tourism. I earned my tour leader license in 2014 and my tourist guide license in 2017. I also qualified as a German language teacher (DaF) at the Goethe-Institut Munich in 2016.
Now, I do what I like best. I organise guided tours of Verona and Lake Garda. During winter, I teach my native German and translate social media content. I enjoy professional flexibility.
I am mad for coffee, local wine and cheese. I enjoy a good book as much as a hiking tour with my daughter.
